For Stephanie Quayle’s Brand Development

Photo Art Direction, Editing, and Retouching

For Stephanie Quayle and SQ x Lucchese

Brief:

Stephanie Quayle was looking to establish a brand identity that was firmly rooted in her home state of Montana. While many of her peers identified with “country” roots, Stephanie and her team want to differentiate her from classic country stereotypes by telling her story through the vistas of where she came from.

Process:

In developing Stephanie’s visual identity, I felt it was important to create an editorial feel across all branding and imagery, to avoid any western cliches, by utilizing sophisticated branding and stunning imagery that paid homage to the beautiful landscapes from home. Stephanie is an artist, writing most of his own music, so I wanted to elevate and broaden her appeal throughout all of her visual touch points to help expand her reach to a wide breadth of listeners.

Result:

This project included a complete brand refresh (developing and designing of a new logo and brand guidelines), photo art direction, editing and retouching of countless images, and the design of multiple single and EP releases. As a result of all of her success, Stephanie partnered with Lucchese Boots to develop her own boot collection. I was approached to edit and retouch all imagery for the project, maintaining continuity with the visual branding we had put in place.
