Michael Franti Follow Your Heart Album and World Tour Release Campaign

Responsible for Concept and Art Direction, Cover Design, CD and LP Packaging Design and layout, Tour Admat Art Direction and Design, Social Media and Digital Art Direction and Design, Immersive Tour Design

The Ask:

Michael Franti and his team approached me to develop a unique concept and marketing vision that would carry throughout the album packaging, album marketing, and “Follow Your Heart” world tour marketing and tour experience. The two main themes he wanted me to vibe off of? Resilience and interconnectedness.

The Solve:

I created multiple concepts for the primary imagery, starting with the cover—to act as an anchor and establish the overall visual direction. After we chose the winning concept, I finalized the cover design with Michael, and then pulled the concept through an extensive list of packaging concepts, including: text layouts, tour marketing design concepts, release graphics concepts, immersive tour elements.
